How to Choose Running Shoes for Flat Feet

A flat foot is some sort of a deformity, and it results into flattened arches with the feet soles resting entirely on the ground. About  20 and 30 percent of the world population suffers from flat feet and most of them do not know because flat feet can be painless and asymptomatic.

Unfortunately, some people experience discomfort with some of them experiencing full-blown pain upon long walks. One of the best treatments of the flat foot is wearing shoes that fit well in order to get full support on the arches. Having the right footwear helps in alleviating the discomfort and pain when one is dealing with being flat-footed.

Tips for buying the best shoes for flat foot

When choosing casual shoes, make sure the shoes have proper arch support insoles. Make sure the insoles are removable so that you can replace those (insoles) as many times as need be. Shoes like flip flops, clogs, high heels and docksiders do not have proper arch support, and that’s why people with flat feet are supposed to avoid them like the plague.

Pick stability running shoes for flat feet because they come with an added stability control that helps in controlling pronation as well as providing the much needed cushioning. The reason why stability running shoes are recommended for people with mild or moderate flat feet is that they are well cushioned, they are lightweight and they are breathable.

Good flat feet shoes for runners

Wearing these stability running shoes means that the amount of strain put on ankles, the knees and the feet is less as compared to when one wears normal running shoes. The best thing about these shoes is that one can add over the counter arch support thus reducing pronation on one’s feet

You can choose orthopedic shoes if you don’t mind the stiffness because most of them come with inbuilt orthotic insoles, stiff heel counters, heel locking mechanisms, and well-padded collars. As I have already said, most of them can be quite uncomfortable especially the stiffness and the fact that they lack in terms of style and appearance makes them less popular with people.

If you are suffering from severe pronation, you can pick motion running shoes because they are designed to provide ample support as compared to stability running shoes. Motion control running shoes are designed to keep the ankles straight when moving and they also come with dual density foam that’s injected below the medial side of the foot’s arch.

Sometimes though, motion control can be quite a task in this pair of shoes, and that is why it is important to try them on before you make a purchase. Just for the record, stability running shoes with a reinforced arch support insole are better than motion control shoes especially for those who can’t stand their restrictiveness.

Be careful with ‘recommended arch support’ sandals because these sandals lack some important features like the back and shoelaces that offer support to flat feet. If you, however, decide to go for these sandals, don’t wear them for long; instead start slowly and see how your feet adjusts and reacts to them.

In conclusion, get running shoes with at least a layer of soothing pads are the best for runners with flat feet.

Guide To Clean Your Home Stairs

Stairway cleaning is challenging for many reasons — the main one being that the dirtiest areas of stairs are the hardest to clean.

A messy or dirty stairway is not a warm and welcoming atmosphere in a home. Decluttering and keeping stairs clean provides a measure of safety when moving from one level of a home to the next. Many people usually choose to cover stair treads in carpets, runners, stone, tile or wood. Each surface needs cleaning to maintain a tidy appearance. Dust, pet fur and other debris land on stair treads, making the surface slippery or unsightly.

Using a vacuum to clean stairs

To maintain a clean stairway, it is important to schedule cleaning the stairs into your housekeeping routine. In this way, if you are disciplined about it, the stairway will be clean, safe and be an attractive feature in your home.

Clearing the stairway of obstacles and incorporating scheduled cleaning into your housekeeping routine creates a safe stairway and allows the stairway to remain an attractive feature in the home.

Equipment Needed

  • Bucket
  • Grease-fighting dish soap
  • Sponge
  • Rag
  • Microfiber dusting cloth

STEPS TAKEN WHEN CLEANING STAIRS

  1. Declutter: Remove all items from the stairs, this includes; shoes, clothes, toys or storage boxes.
  2. Dust: Sweep the stone, wood or tile stairs with a handheld broom, starting from the top area and going your way down to the bottom area. This is the ideal time also to dust the handrail so that the dust can be swept up or vacuumed with the stairs. You can get a vacuum that cleans tile floors easily.

Collect the dust and other debris in a dustpan and discard it in the trash. Sweep stairs at least once per week.

  1. Vacuum: Clean carpet-covered stairs using a vacuum that has an extension hose with a beater-brush attachment. Do you prefer vacuuming from the top or the bottom? Personally, I prefer beginning at the bottom. It is advised to use an extension hose if your vacuum does not reach the top of the stairs. Use a crevice tool that comes with your vacuum to remove dust particles.
  2. Get a bucket and fill it with warm water and put 2 table spoon of dish soap. Dip a sponge and squeeze out the water and make sure that the sponge is a little damp. Wipe wood, stone, and tile to get rid of grime and dirt. Next, begin drying the stairs right away with a thick rag.
  3. Mix grease-fighting dish detergent and warm water. Put a cleaning rag into the mixture, squeeze out water leaving the rag just damp and clean away dirty marks from the railings.

When cleaning stairs, it is advised not to use wax as it creates a slippery finish which can easily cause accidents.

To maintain their hygiene, it is also advised to not use stairs as a storage space as this allows for dust to easily accumulate.

Staircases are usually high traffic areas in homes and can become dirty really quickly and cleaning them is an essential part of every home.

Robert Mugabe God Should Never Have Created Those Thieves Kenyans Here In Africa

HARARE: Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has launched a verbal war with Kenyans. While presiding over a funds drive in a city church on Sunday where he was the chief guest, Mugabe said that Kenyans are the most arrogant thieves in the world because they steal with high degree impunity.

Mugabe speaks

Robert Mugabe claims that he was quite shaken by Kenyans’ expertise on stealing to the point that he thinks it’s in every Kenyan’s blood. Ironically Kenyans attend good schools and pursue higher learning in good courses, but they still qualify as best thieves; one would think that there is a specific course being offered in their universities on theft called Bachelor of Stealing.

Mugabe further claims that Kenyans do not disappoint when employed, they will steal money that will be sufficient to buy their freedom. This is enhanced by the fact that the judges who preside over their cases are financially powerless.

He urges the people of Zimbabwe to be on high alert, especially those who will visit Kenya, so as not to catch this infectious disease and take it to Zimbabwe as it is not wanted there.

He proudly complemented the good, patriotic and honest nature of his people and their lack of interest in stealing tendencies.
Kenyans are yet to react on Mugabe’s insensitive remarks on them.
